Hello! This is Sangwon from the Video Creation Technology team.
Today, we would like to introduce a new feature that could change the designers’ workflow.
One of the most frequent requests from the Shakr users was to use photos in place of video slots when they did not have enough or any video assets. Today, we are introducing Universal Media Type, a feature where users can upload images on video editables.
From now on, when making videos on Shakr Editor, users can upload a photo, crop unnecessary part, then apply simple effects and preview the finished product, as shown below.
Since it is possible to upload images on the video slot, please consider using more video editables in the video design, unless the editable is for transparent image like logos or special effects on an image.
Since the feature consists of Shakr system converting images into a video, then applying to the video editable, it is not possible to use videos for image editables.
We highly recommend that you take Universal Media Type into consideration when designing your next video designs by prioritizing on using videos as editables.
We hope using Universal Media Type will help you make even better video designs. Also, we will also keep working on making ShakrReady process more stable and comfortable experience.
Thank you.
