Framework #1 Valentine’s Day

Hello , I’m Nayoung, a Shakr Staff Designer and Designer Program Manager.

Did you know that videos with precise theme and purpose are much more effective in ads? However, many designers find it difficult to zero in, on theme and purposes when designing a video.

The first Shakr Tip is for all of those that want to create seasonal videos!

  

Videos for Seasonal Periods

Many advertisers, target specific seasonal periods release new products or advertise their new promotions, such as discounts. So, it would be a good idea to set the theme for specific periods. For example, having Valentine’s Day themed videos to introduce products for that event is more converting since it includes specific message frameworks for the targets.

Although each period has it’s own special occasion, there is an appropriate timing for everything. Most advertisers get around to make seasonal themed videos about 1~2 months before the actual period. That means now would be the best time to work on the upcoming event — Valentine’s Day.

  

Design Tips

Having texts on every scene or emphasizing the product is recommended to fully share the information about the promotion.

     

Also, we recommend utilizing various design elements and effects to keep the video themed. For example, a Valentine’s Day theme could include design aspects such as pink colored items, hearts, shining particles and bokeh effects.

    

For designers who are having difficulties with creating a new design, you could add Valentine’s Day design aspects to your existing designs. Feel free to play around!
